Renovation and Decorative Finish for Entrance and Outdoor Area

Westminster Primary School in Birmingham is a mainstream state school for pupils aged from three to eleven years old.

We have been fortunate enough to work with Westminster Primary School on a number of fantastic projects over the years. We have recently worked with the school on a massive over haul of several of their outdoor areas.

Playground safety surfacing and equipment.

The first project was to remove an old existing trim trail and replace with a new piece of play equipment. We ripped out the old trim trail and installed a giant multi play unit and tree house with a slide, complete with brand new black and bright green wetpour safety surfacing.

Artificial Grass Safety Surfacing

We then stripped out and removed the shrubs and overgrowth around the perimeter of the main play area. Next, we supplied and installed artificial grass safety surfacing to open up a vast space for additional play, creating a safe and comfortable area and providing endless play options.

Installing the Unique Bespoke Oriental Garden

The school had a unique idea for a section of their play area, they requested that we design and install a bespoke oriental garden. Our design department set to work on carefully planning this distinctive area, working closely with the staff at the school to ensure that the design met the schools requirements exactly. Once they were completely happy with the design, we began to install the oriental garden. This included a handcrafted pagoda and bridge created by our joiners, and some oriental style ornaments.

Wetpour Safety Surfacing Included

We then finished the area with an imitation waterfall, created with wetpour and shiny crushed glass for a bit of added sparkle. This made use of the disused and run down existing rockery, and finally we completed the imitation waterfall with heron ornaments to really bring the area to life.
