Colourful Wetpour Safety Surface

Evenwood Primary School is located in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, and caters for children aged 3 – 11 years old.

Although the school had a fantastic piece of adventure play equipment in their outdoor area, the safety surfacing under this area was old and damaged and in need of replacing.

Colourful safety surface

Colourful Playground Design

We began by preparing the area by removing all of the old wetpour safety surfacing. We then installed a colourful green wetpour safety surfacing around the play equipment, ensuring that we adhered to all health and safety regulations by maintaining the correct depth of the surface according to the fall height of the equipment. This ensures that should a child fall off the equipment, they land on a soft and comfortable surface, which absorbs the impact of the fall and minimises the risk of injury.

As you can see from the photos, the new vibrant green wetpour brightens up the whole play area making the area more inviting for the children whilst ensuring their play times are safe and enjoyable.

At Let’s Play Everywhere we have decades of experience in the installation of various types of safety surfacing. There are countless benefits to adding a new safety surface to your playground, with no doubt the most important benefit being that it reduces the risk of injury with the cushioned, impact absorbing surface. With an extensive range of surfacing to choose from including wetpour, bonded rubber mulch, artificial grass and resin bonded gravel; we have something for every playground. Bonded rubber mulch and artificial grass maintain a natural aesthetic appearance to a play area, while we can design wetpour safety surfacing from a variety of vibrant colours with the inclusion of shapes, letters, numbers, school logos and educational graphics ensuring that learning isn’t restricted to the classroom.

We understand that the most importance aspect of a new playground surface is that it adheres to health and safety regulations. We offer comprehensive advice regarding the correct depth of surfacing to achieve the critical fall height that you require according to the play equipment installed on the area. Our installers will always assess the area on arrival, making sure that any possible risks are considered and appropriately managed before the work begins. Our highly trained installers are all fully CRB checked and hold Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Cards.
